South African DJ and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle has given fans a closer look at how her daughter Asante’s fifth birthday celebration looked.
The star shared beautiful pictures from the celebration, giving followers a glimpse at the stunning décor and special moments from the day.
Asante celebrated her fifth birthday on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, with a magical mermaid-themed birthday party.
The celebration featured beautiful white, blue and purple décor, with balloons adding to the underwater-inspired theme.
The décor was done by Nono Events, who transformed the tennis court into a colourful underwater wonderland for the birthday celebration.
DJ Zinhle thanked Nono Events for the beautiful décor and shared an emotional message about seeing everything come together for her daughter.

My baby, seeing all of this come to life for you made my heart so happy. You bring so much joy and magic into our lives, and you deserve to feel every bit of it. Thank you, Nono Events, for making her day so beautiful.”
The pictures showed just how much attention went into creating the mermaid-inspired celebration.
From the balloons to the different shades of blue, purple and white, the décor helped create a dreamy setting for Asante’s milestone birthday.
Asante’s father, Murdah Bongz, also marked his daughter’s fifth birthday on 8 September 2026.
The musician shared a beautiful montage of Asante as he celebrated her special day.
Murdah Bongz wrote: “Happy Birthday to a little soul who make me softer and stronger all at once.”
DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz could also be seen singing happy birthday to Asante as she celebrated with a colourful birthday cake.
