DJ Zandimaz Hospitalised Due to Fatigue After Intense Festive Schedule

DJ Zandimaz, born Zandile Mazithulela, has been hospitalised due to exhaustion after a demanding performance schedule over the festive season. The talented DJ has been touring across Southern Africa, playing multiple shows from December 28 to January 4.

Sharing a photo of herself on a drip, DJ Zandimaz explained the toll her hectic itinerary took on her body. “Due to health reasons I always make sure I get a drip. I have been hectic from December 28 until January 4, travelling between provinces, working and touring. There was little time for gym and healthy eating but I needed to get my energy back,” she said.

The artist also opened up about her ongoing health challenges, including a past battle with a brain tumour. “I need to take it easy from [my] hectic performance schedule as the brain tumour really messed me up, so I had to go and get the doctor’s attention — get the vitamins.”

In 2022, while touring the UK, DJ Zandimaz suffered a seizure, followed by another in Zambia. After seeing a doctor, she learned she had a brain tumour. She took a year off to focus on recovery, but her health struggles continued, leading to anxiety and nervous system issues. “I couldn’t walk properly,” she added.
