According to MDN News the high-stakes legal battle between DJ Tira and musician Luke Ntombela is set to unfold in the High Court this Friday, June 28. The renowned Afrotainment record label boss, DJ Tira, is pursuing a defamation case against Ntombela following her explosive allegations on social media.
In a dramatic turn of events in May, Luke Ntombela took to Facebook to recount an unsettling incident, claiming she woke up naked in DJ Tira’s bed with no recollection of how she got there. Alongside her story, she shared screenshots of what she said were WhatsApp conversations with DJ Tira, in which she sought answers about the night in question.
The fallout from these allegations was swift and severe. DJ Tira responded by sending a cease and desist letter to Ntombela, which she defiantly dismissed, daring him to take the matter to court. True to her word, she continued to speak openly about her claims, prompting DJ Tira to seek legal recourse.
In a recent interview with DJ Sbu on Radio 2000, DJ Tira, accompanied by his wife, Gugu Khathi, voiced his determination to let the judiciary handle the situation. Gugu, standing firmly by her husband, hinted that the timing of the allegations might not be coincidental. She suggested that their family often faces public scrutiny whenever they embark on major projects, including the highly anticipated Hollywoodbets Durban July marquee.
Gugu further revealed her personal connection to Luke Ntombela, stressing that she holds no animosity towards her. Nevertheless, she i that the legal action was necessary to safeguard their business interests, as the scandal has already taken a toll on their professional partnerships and sponsorships.
As the court date approaches, all eyes are on the High Court, where the resolution of this contentious case could have far-reaching implications for both parties involved.
