DJ Tira, the acclaimed Afrotainment boss, has refuted claims that his latest track, Rules Are Rules, is a diss aimed at gospel singer Dumi Mkokstad. According to TshisaLIVE, this denial follows a heated altercation between Mkokstad and rapper Big Zulu at the Tsakane Stadium during the fourth installment of Big Zulu’s celebrity soccer tournament.
The clash reportedly erupted over DJ Tira’s decision to include professional players in his team, deviating from the tournament’s amateur spirit. The incident, which was broadcast live on SABC Sports, quickly became the talk of social media, overshadowing the tournament’s outcomes.
Sources close to DJ Tira revealed his dismay over the public fallout. “We all can see this is a diss song towards Dumi Mkokstad. He saw himself being trolled on social media since Sunday, so he took this opportunity to take a swipe at Dumi for his antics on Sunday,” one insider claimed.
Another source added, “He has been hard at work in the studio composing Rules Are Rules dedicated to Dumi because his antics embarrassed the whole tournament. To make things worse, everything was aired on national television. People are not talking about the winners of the tournament but are talking about the episode Dumi displayed on live television.”
Despite the speculation, DJ Tira firmly denied the song’s rumoured intent. “It is not a diss track. The song is a gqom track and fun to listen to,” he told TshisaLIVE.
As anticipation builds for the track’s release on Friday, fans remain eager to see how this musical chapter will unfold amidst the swirling controversy.
