K.O once said, if you want to make it in the music industry you need to have a tough skin.
Popular House and Dance music DJ, Shimza is having a little drama with is boss Black Coffee and music label, Soulistic Music.
Sunday World reports that a music official that works at Soulistic Music, shared that DJ Shimza has walked out on the label owned by Black Coffee because he felt that his debut album did not receive the support it needed from his big boss.
According to the paper, Shimza has accused Black Coffee of playing dirty and adds that the marketing of his album was lacking.
“Black Coffee, as my boss, has never mentioned my album, including when it was released,” says Shimza.
“I feel he should have at least done that, then my album wouldn’t be sitting at 8,500 copies sold since June.
“I’ve been pushing my album alone from day one, and really don’t want to point fingers at anyone,” he said.
The official then adds that Black Coffee saw Shimza as a threat and the only reason he signed him to the label was to sabotage his music career.
OUCH!
Coffee ignored all questions that were sent to him by the paper.
