South African DJ and music producer DJ Kmat is about to take her talents to one of the world’s biggest stages — the prestigious International Music Summit (IMS) 2025 in Ibiza. Known for her unique amapiano sound, DJ Kmat will not only attend the event but will be one of the headlining acts, thanks to the newly launched Jägermeister Global Pass.
DJ Kmat, whose real name is Koketso Reabetswe Mathabathe, comes from Soshanguve in Gauteng. In an interview with TshisaLIVE, she shared her excitement about the opportunity. “I’m so excited to be going to Ibiza. I feel so honoured to be performing at this prestigious event,” she said. “This platform has opened so many doors for other artists before me — I hope it does the same for me.”
The International Music Summit is not just a party hotspot — it’s a major event that celebrates music culture, creative innovation, and global artistry. For DJ Kmat, it’s a chance to represent South Africa on a global level and connect with other industry leaders and musicians.
DJ Kmat released her debut EP, Luminous Flame, in 2022. The project featured several amapiano stars and helped her gain recognition in the local music scene. Now, with the support of Jägermeister’s Global Pass initiative, she’s reaching for international heights.
Jägermeister has confirmed that its Global Pass initiative is all about uplifting South African artists by creating global platforms for exposure and collaboration. “The launch of the Global Pass is our next step in this journey, creating meaningful opportunities for South African artists to connect, collaborate, and thrive internationally,” the brand shared.
Ephraim Manana of Jägermeister added that KMAT’s performance at IMS Ibiza 2025 is more than just a gig. “Supporting KMAT’s presence at IMS Ibiza 2025 is more than just a sponsorship. It’s a statement of belief in the future of South African music and its place at the heart of global culture.”
With this opportunity, DJ Kmat is not only living out a personal dream but also paving the way for other artists in the South African music scene.
