DJ Cleo Pens Emotional Birthday Message To DJ Fresh. DJ Fresh recently turned the big fifty and his fans and friends have been celebrating him with heartfelt tributes and messages.

Having been one of the early notable and successful DJs in Mzansi, DJ Fresh put on a lot of DJs and artists that came after him. One of them being DJ Cleo who took to Instagram to wish the Big Dawg a happy birthday in a special way. DJ Cleo posted a video of himself playing ‘Happy Birthday’ on a guitar and wrote a heartfelt, emotional message to DJ Fresh, whom he calls a mentor and leader.

”My leader ,my mentor, my first label, the person to put me on CD, the person that protected me from vultures. The first royalties check, my first radio mix, my first drive time slot, my first radio show l presented, my first pay check, first DJ to announce my name on radio,” DJ Cleo revealed.

My first royalties check, My first trip out of SA (Lesotho) without a passport, My first radio mix
My first drivetime slot, My first club residency (calabash), My first radio show I produced, My first paycheck, First dj to announce my name on radio, My first time on FRESH HOUSE FLAVA, Paid for my first music video, Forced me to register WOS (my company),”
he added.

Not only was he always there on his rise to fame but he was there on his difficult moments when he was involved in a car accident, they also worked together and he also worked for him. “Had my first car accident coming from his house in 2001 and he was my 1st responder (upset that I woke him up). He arrives on the scene and says “my Man U fucked up”… Had his posters on my walls in 97/98/99 then got to work with him in 2001,” DJ Cleo shared.
