“I Didn’t Sleep My Way To The Top,” Says Cici! As she continues to open up about her abuse story and how the relationship with Arthur started, Cici has also shut down claims that she slept her way to the top.

Cici explained that she had won a talent search in 2015 (SA Arts and Development Association (SAADA) which led to her joining Arthur’s 999 and at that time there was no romantic link between them.

“The love came way later. People may say I slept my way to the top but that was not the case. The relationship happened later,” she told Naives and Sphectecula on Gagasi FM.

Cici explained why she went public with what happened to her saying she wanted to show people that they should speak up for themselves.

“Before being an artist. I am human. I saw no shame in saying this is what happened to me. I need to show people that they must speak up for themselves. So that someone could also get to a point where they say, ‘I am worth more that this person has downgraded me to be’.”
