Actress Nomzamo Mbatha stuns on the latest issue of Destiny Magazine wearing the most beautiful shawl which was named ‘the most beautiful object in South Africa’ at the Design Indaba but what draws us the most is her beautiful touching story she tells in the mag.
Nomzamo opens up about the struggles in her family growing up and the big decision she had to make to change her life and family’s. “I didn’t grow up in the most privileged home. I think I weighed the ‘passion versus reason’ aspect with regards to what I wanted to do”, she said of her decision to leave her Accounting studies to pursue her acting career.
“My only dream was to go back home and fix my grandmother’s house and take care of my family because they were struggling. There are still some who are struggling. I don’t know what it is about me, but I am a nurturer”, she tells Destiny mag.
Nomzamo says serving her family is very important to her and drives her to work harder. “I didn’t want my brothers to be unable to attend the schools of their choice because there was no money at home. I wanted to change that narrative for my family.”
