Yes, it’s true and after 10 years Dawn Matthews will no longer be entertaining us as the face of evil, sexy and vindictive Shakira Nyathi.
Drum magazine confirmed the news of Dawn leaving with e.tv.
Now you would think that she’s leaving e.tve to be on another local drama but, nope that’s not the case, Dawn is leaving South Africa too.
Dawn and Hubby Charlie Sapadin are leaving South Africa and heading to USA with their kids as it is Charlie’s home country.
e.tv’s Michael Pocock told the Drum magazine that Dawn will be taking a sabbatical from the TV drama. “Her character, Shakira will always be a part of the Scandal! family. Also, Dawn will be documenting her happenings on her Instagram account,” he added.
I don’t know about you guys but we will definitely miss seeing Shakira and her devious ways on our TV screens.
