Social media star and DJ Cyan Boujee, whose real name is Honour Zuma, has always been open about her cosmetic surgeries, and her latest procedure is a breast lift. The 23-year-old influencer recently shared her journey on why she decided to undergo the procedure, which she had done in Durban.
“I’m just getting my boobs lifted up so they are upright and pointy,” Cyan explained. She revealed that her gastric sleeve surgery had caused her breasts to become “saggy,” which she wasn’t happy with. “I want to have a unique body and surgery is very addictive. Once you start, you can’t stop,” she added.
Cyan’s candid approach to her cosmetic surgeries has sparked much conversation, and in a recent post on TshisaLIVE, she shared that her breast lift is part of her ongoing transformation. Earlier last year, she flew to Turkey for gastric sleeve surgery, spending R58,000 on the procedure.
The DJ, known for her bold personality, has also been transparent about her weight loss journey. In a TikTok post, she revealed that her gastric sleeve surgery helped her lose weight but left her breasts sagging, leading her to opt for the breast lift. “I want to have a new body and surgeries are addictive,” she said, acknowledging how these procedures have given her a new sense of confidence.
Six months after undergoing the gastric sleeve surgery, Cyan has lost an impressive 25kg, dropping from 92kg to 68kg. She shared a before-and-after photo on her Instagram Stories to showcase her transformation. “I’m not that sort of influencer who is going to randomly change my body and then go to the gym, come back and say the gym is giving,” Cyan explained, adding that she’s dedicated to her journey and is working hard to achieve her goals.
Her goal is to reach 65kg, and she cited American rapper Cardi B, who also underwent surgery, as one of her inspirations. “My goal is 60kg — I know it’s crazy — or at least 65kg,” she said. “I don’t want to be around 80kg, I don’t want to be around 90kg. This was my last option.”
“I know I’m just 22 [now 23] and I’m putting my body under much pressure, but I want to be in a space where I am genuinely happy with my body,” Cyan shared.
Despite the pressures of public opinion, Cyan remains determined to do what makes her happy. “I don’t care much about opinions and judgments. I do what makes me happy,” she concluded.
According to the Mayo Clinic, gastric sleeve surgery is a weight-loss procedure where about 80% of the stomach is removed, helping to restrict food intake and promote weight loss.
