Limpopo’s vibrant yet polarising rap sensation, Katlego “Shebeshxt” Chauke, has taken a significant step on his road to recovery. The rapper, known for his energetic hits and contentious persona, was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday following a tragic car accident that shook his world. This is according to Sunday World.
Shebeshxt’s release was confirmed by Sunday World, with his lawyer and family spokesperson, Lot Ramusi, providing an update on the star’s condition. “He is out of the hospital. He was discharged yesterday. He is recovering at home, and he is getting better,” Ramusi assured. Despite his fragile state, the rapper is showing resilience and a positive outlook as he navigates this challenging period.
The accident, which occurred two weeks ago, was a devastating event for Shebeshxt and his family. The rapper was en route to his girlfriend’s home, intending to drop her and his nine-year-old daughter off before heading to an ANC Siyanqoba rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo. Tragically, their vehicle collided with a truck, resulting in the loss of his young daughter’s life.
Ramusi shared that Shebeshxt is slowly coming to terms with the harrowing experience. “He is coming to terms with everything. He was obviously shaken by everything, but he is slowly coming to terms with the situation,” he stated, highlighting the emotional journey the artist is undergoing.
Beyond his personal recovery, Shebeshxt faces legal challenges. He is currently out on bail, with a court appearance scheduled in Lebowakgomo for a case dating back to 2022. The National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson in Limpopo, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, confirmed, “The matter is set down for plea and trial on July 11 at Lebowakgomo regional court D.” The case involves allegations that Shebeshxt stabbed a man, a charge that has kept the rapper in the public eye for reasons beyond his musical talents.
