South African musician Cici, known for her soulful hits, is ready to remind fans why they fell in love with her in the first place. The 37-year-old singer, born Busisiwe Thwala, will be hosting her highly anticipated Love Tour with Cici and Friends concert at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, on 16 November.
Reflecting on her journey, Cici told Daily Sun that she had lost touch with the artist she once aspired to be. “Many times when I post my videos dancing on social media, music lovers comment saying they love the original version of me. I want to remind them this is the artist they fell in love with in the first place,” she shared.
The concert will not only celebrate her music journey but will also feature performances from her industry friends, including Blaq Diamond, DJ Zinhle, and Nkosazana Daughter. Cici plans to take the tour across South Africa, with stops in cities like Durban, Cape Town, and Gqeberha.
In addition to the tour, Cici recently released her single Impumelelo and is working on her upcoming album This is Me, which will showcase a blend of Afro-pop, pop, and amapiano.
“The show is all about spreading love, and that’s why it’s called the Love Tour,” she explained. Fans can expect a memorable evening filled with music and nostalgia as Cici takes them down memory lane.
