Get ready for glitz, drama and sunshine as The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa premieres on Showmax on Friday, 28 November, with new episodes airing on Mzansi Magic from 6 December at 7PM. This exciting new season brings together some of Africa’s most iconic Housewives for an unforgettable escape in the vibrant heart of Brazil.
Ahead of the show’s release, Showmax caught up with fan-favourite Christall Kay, who returns for the second time as an Ultimate Housewife. True to her glamorous and outspoken personality, Christall shared her excitement, travel must-haves, and what viewers can expect from this fiery new season.
When asked what she packed for Brazil, Christall said she was ready for everything the beach destination had to offer.
“The first thing I packed was my bikini – and definitely a thong, because it’s Brazil. I made sure to bring along some fantastic, killer outfits to blow those girls away. And maybe, just maybe, I thought I might meet the man of my dreams in Brazil,” she said with a laugh.
She added that she also packed her samba outfit and dancing shoes, ready to deliver a special “Christall Edition” salsa performance.
“I didn’t forget my sunglasses either, because according to some of the ladies last season, I shouldn’t go anywhere without them,” she joked.
When it comes to advice for newcomers on the trip, Christall didn’t hold back. “Number one: be real and authentic. Number two: enjoy the experience. But very importantly, number three: do not insult or bully me because you will definitely regret it. Don’t mess with me. I never start, but I do respond!”
If she could choose her dream cast, Christall said she’d pick Tarina, Mrs Mops, and Lebo from The Real Housewives of Johannesburg Season 2, plus Evodia from Season 1 and LaConco from RHOD. “That would make a great group. We’d have plenty of fun and games, lots of spice, but all in good, healthy fun!”
Christall also hinted at a possible reunion showdown with Evodia, her former rival. “Evodia was my archenemy in Season 1 of RHOJ, but I am looking forward to meeting my worthy opponent again. We always had our fights, but we also came together as well, so we’ll see what happens this time,” she teased.
When asked which celebrities are fans of hers, she proudly mentioned Somizi. “Somizi is a fan of mine. He even invited me to sing along with him and his crew at Metro FM, which was an absolute blast!”
Christall promises that viewers will get plenty of entertainment from her this season. “People should watch the show because I am the girl who is always at the centre of the fun and drama. The other girls are often jealous of me, but I always rise above it with my wit, charm, and sense of fun!”
