Celebs Show Love To Nadia Nakai After Breaking Silence On AKA’s Passing. The late rapper’s girlfriend, took to her social media to share multiple photos of her and AKA in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes, 35, died on the 10th of February 2023, in an apparent “assassination” that is allegedly said to be a hit ordered by someone. He and his former manager Tebello ‘Tibz’ Mostoane died outside a popular night spot in Florida, Durban after being shot at.
The late rapper’s memorial service, was held on Friday, 17 February 2023 at the Sandton Convention Centre , north of Johannesburg. It was attended by many of his family, which included his parents, brother, daughter Kairo, DJ Zinhle and girlfriend Nadia Nakai and some industry friends.
Lynn Forbes (AKA’s mother) took to the podium and thanked the attendees for being present at the memorial service, she also went on to speaking about what her sons’ former and present partners meant to her, said: “I want to celebrate Zinhle and Nadia. This is not a normal situation, it’s all over here. I’ve gained three daughters, Britney, Nadia and Zinhle.”
Taking to Instagram following the burial of her boyfriend on Sunday evening, 19 February 2023, for the first time since her boyfriend’s death, Nadia Nakai shared a series of photos and videos with herself and AKA along with a lengthy, heartfelt message, she wrote: “My heart is shattered, this is not what our future was meant to look like. I can’t believe I said my final goodbye to you yesterday. I will never see you again for the rest of my lifetime? You loved me loud and proud, thank you baby. Protected me, Pray for me, inspired me. I find it hard to breathe let alone find the words to explain how much you I love you. I am really going to miss all the special moments we’ve had…”
The Instagram post adoring AKA was flooded with sympathetic messages from famous celebrities and fans alike. Boity Thulo, Nandi Madida, Khanyi Mbau, Lasizwe and Nigerian music star Peter from P Square were just some of the famous names that sent Nadia some love.
