South African actress Siphesihle Ndaba has just released the official trailer for her new movie titled LIL_ITH. She shared the exciting news on Instagram with the caption:
“LIL_ITH. OFFICIAL TRAILER. She comes out swinging Official Selection – Oscar & BAFTA Qualifying Odense International Film Festival and QFest St. Louis kicking off her international festival run. In Johannesburg’s dark adult entertainment underworld, Lil_ith dives deep into a raw, electric new wave of South African youth culture – where sex is currency, power is fluid, and the line between real and digital connection begins to blur. Follow for festival updates and drop dates.”
CeeCee is not only the lead actress in LIL_ITH, but she also produced the film. She worked with rapper Gigi Lamayne, who created a powerful original soundtrack for the movie called Medusa.
The story takes place in Johannesburg, a city known for its beauty but also its violence. At the heart of the movie is Lilith, an online cam model. One night, she meets a mysterious client – a “John” – and their meeting turns into a dark, psychological game. What starts as a regular job becomes something far more intense, as both characters begin to show their true selves.
According to Film Freeway, the film is a love story, but one filled with danger, betrayal, and struggle. Lilith finds herself caught between survival and desire. She also finds comfort in a group of outsiders, people who have been pushed away by society just like her. Through them, she experiences a toxic but passionate relationship that gives her a sense of belonging.
The movie explores modern themes such as power, love, and the blurry line between the real world and the online world. It brings a fresh and raw look at the lives of young people in South Africa today.
Fans are excited for this bold new project. One fan, @zukii_lubambz, wrote: “One thing about you @ceecee_ndaba you eat every role up. Always something different!”
Another fan, @ryan.smith, added: “I am so excited for this!!!”
With its unique story and international festival recognition, LIL_ITH is a film to watch out for.
