In a viral social media post, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has responded to explosive allegations made by Thobeka Majozi, the mother of his son, Khotso. Majozi revealed that Cassper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo, allegedly cheated on her while their son was battling cancer. Her candid Instagram post, shared as she celebrated her 32nd birthday, detailed her emotional journey of faith, healing, and heartbreak.
Majozi revealed that their son Khotso was diagnosed with cancer at just eight months old, and for two years, she lived in an oncology hospital while he underwent chemotherapy and surgeries. During this difficult time, she discovered Cassper’s alleged infidelity with his now-wife, Pulane Mojaki.
“In the depth of fighting cancer, I was hit with a curveball of infidelity,” Majozi wrote. “The woman knew me, my son’s condition, and made no mistake with flaunting their relationship.”
The revelations sparked outrage on social media, with many expressing disappointment in the rapper’s actions.
In response, Cassper Nyovest took to his social media today to address the claims and apologise. In a heartfelt video, the rapper confirmed the details shared by Majozi, admitting his mistakes.
“I decided to tell my side of the story… I’d like to confirm everything that my baby mama said about me is true,” Cassper confessed. He explained that he had previously appeared on podcasts to share his personal journey and mistakes, but had chosen not to mention his son’s illness out of respect for Majozi’s wishes.
“I wanted to confirm that as the truth, it might not be the whole truth, but I wanted to take accountability for my part,” he said. “It is something I had to grow from, and it’s something I had to forgive myself for.”
Cassper also reflected on the consequences of his actions, saying, “When you make bad decisions in life, these are the consequences. Not only do you hurt people, but you also don’t get to choose how they deal with the pain you caused.”
He concluded by apologising to Majozi, her family, his family, and everyone impacted by the situation. “Through Jesus Christ, I’ve been able to forgive myself, rebuild, and be a man of integrity. I’m sorry, and hopefully, you will find it in you to forgive me one day.”
