mandla and lexi 2

If you’re a reality TV show guru you would know who Mandla and Lexi are. Mandla Hlatshwayo walked away with the one million rand prize money from Big Brother Mzansi season 1.

The most interesting parts of the Big Brother season was the on and off relationship between Mandla and Lexi van Niekerk. After winning the million Mandla moved from his spaza shop to try fulfill his dreams as a musician and Lexi is working on becoming a successful actress in the demanding streets of Johannesburg.

Joining in on the drama of Mandla and Lexi chasing their dreams we get to see their families and friends the people that influence this couple’s life decisions most. If the way the couple behaved in the Big Brother house is anything to go by it’s probably safe to assume that this reality show will be one filled with a lot of drama and juicy moments from the respective households.

The 5 part series, will be the first time we see Mandla and Lexi outside of the Big Brother house in an actual reality show featuring their everyday lives and not a life lived in a house full of rules.

“I’m feeling super excited that the show is finally airing,” admits Lexi. “I am also a little nervous because we are in a television genre that is filled with successful shows – but I am sure Mzansi Magic viewers will be drawn into our world.”

“I’m just as excited as the viewers to see the show,” adds Mandla.

Mandla and Lexi is set to air on the  3rd of March at 19:00 on Mzansi Magic, Channel 161.

This will be a great opportunity to see if the two have decided to continue their romantic relationship outside the Big Brother house or if they’ve just decided to stay friends. OkMzansi, are you ready for some drama?
