Media personality Candice Modiselle has opened up about one of the most beautiful moments in her life — her traditional wedding to her partner, Sechaba Sello. The former YoTV presenter recently shared stunning pictures and heartfelt words on social media, giving fans a glimpse into her Sotho and Tswana cultural celebration.
The event was beautifully planned by well-known events expert Maureen “Nono” Skosana from Nono Events, and celebrated the richness of the Tswana culture.
In her Instagram post, Candice shared: “How does one sum up the majesty of such a moment? Far too much to be grateful for this season. A little over a month ago, two families gathered for an intimate Magadi luncheon celebration, bringing my best friend and I one step closer to ‘I do’.”
The wedding took place on 21 March 2025, and the photos show Candice and her husband dressed in Sotho traditional blankets, smiling and surrounded by loved ones. The mood in the pictures is warm and emotional — from joyful laughter to tender moments shared between family members.
Candice, now known as Tumelo Candice Sello, also expressed her love and gratitude to her family, especially her sisters Bontle and Refilwe Modiselle, who were by her side on her special day.
“Lastly, to my FAMILY, I LOVE YOU! @refilwemodiselle @bontle.modiselle my anchors, you mean the world to me my girls. That’s all I can say for now. GOD IS GOOD! Blessed and best regards, Tumelo Candice Sello (formerly Modiselle).”
She also shared a powerful message of faith and love in another post, writing: “‘And the Two shall become One.’ My words are few. Thank you Lord.”
The celebration included umembeso, a traditional ceremony where both families exchange gifts as a way of showing respect and building a strong connection.
With her mother and sisters proudly supporting her, Candice’s wedding was not just a union of two people, but a beautiful coming together of families and cultures.
