South African actress Buntu Petse has officially joined the cast of the Inimba Season 2, bringing a bold new character to the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela.

Petse made her debut on Monday, 13 April 2026, stepping into the role of Portia Khiswa, a “fearless and forward-thinking” Senior Engineer at Khusela Tech. Her arrival in the storyline is expected to shake things up and challenge the power dynamics in the show’s second season.

In the series, Portia Khiswa is introduced as a confident and determined professional who refuses to stay in the background. As the new Senior Engineer at Khusela Tech, Portia is described as a forward-thinking and unapologetically powerful tech guru who wants a seat at the table where important decisions are made. Instead of simply following orders, she is determined to help shape the future of the company.

According to Daily Sun, Petse shared how meaningful the opportunity has been for her.

“It feels amazing. Surreal even. I took a chance on myself, thinking I’d be taking a break, but God had other plans for me. I’m so grateful above all,” she said.

Although she has just arrived in the storyline, Portia Khiswa is already making an impact. The character’s bold personality is expected to bring intense drama and unexpected twists to the show.

“Viewers can expect a whole lot of drama from Ms Khiswa. She definitely wants what she wants and goes after it,” she said.

Joining a successful production like Inimba also comes with its own pressures. Petse admitted that she feels the expectations, especially because the show is loved by many people close to her.

“Of course, I feel the pressure. My entire family loves and talks about the show, so my pressure is exponential. I do trust my talents, though, I intend to work hard and keep the lovely momentum my new colleagues have mastered on the show,” she said.

With her strong and determined character, Petse’s arrival is set to bring new energy and plenty of drama to Inimba Season 2.
