In honour of Heritage Day, actress Buntu Petse took to social media to share a glimpse of her stunning umembeso ceremony, embracing her cultural roots with pride. “Happy Heritage Day, uMembeso edition. What a time to be South African,” she wrote alongside the captivating images of the event.
Umembeso is a significant Zulu tradition, marking an important step in lobola negotiations, where the groom presents gifts to the bride’s family before the wedding. For Buntu and her fiancé, Londa Mavundla, it was a joyous occasion as they inched closer to their special day.
The couple, who got engaged in October 2023, has been showering their followers with love-filled moments. Reflecting on her surprise proposal, Buntu previously shared a heartfelt message: “Love has truly been good to me. Not even one sad day or minute have I had since you’ve come my way.”
