Social media went into a frenzy this past week when images of comedian Tol Ass Mo passionately kissing his alleged new girlfriend surfaced. According to reliable sources, this mysterious lady in the funnyman’s life goes by the name Manthatisi Tlhakoane, but she’s also known as Kat.
Kat, an agent by profession, reportedly works and resides in one of Johannesburg’s swanky hotel apartments in the upscale Sandton area. However, despite the excitement surrounding her newfound fame, Kat has expressed her discomfort with all the attention she’s been receiving. “I don’t like this whole thing. I don’t like the attention I am getting,” she confessed.
Regarding the leaked images of her with Tol Ass Mo. Kat claimed she had no idea how they made their way to the public eye. “We took the pictures, and yes, that is me, but I did not release them. I also can’t say much on the matter,” she added cryptically.
The timing of these images raised eyebrows among fans. Coming just a month after Tol Ass Mo made a controversial statement during an interview with DJ Fresh on his YouTube podcast show. “WAW What A Week.” He declared that he would no longer date black women, which ignited a storm of criticism.
Tol Ass Mo, whose real name is Mongezi Mahlangu. Disclosed that he is in the process of divorcing his wife of 11 years, Mome Nale Mahlangu. He cited his need to heal from past traumas as the reason for ending their marriage. He also attributed his decision to no longer date black women to the trauma he claimed to have suffered at their hands.
The comedian stated firmly, “I am traumatised by black women to a point that I don’t want to have a black wife again.” He expressed his intention to remain celibate for 24 months. With six months already behind him, and voiced his desire to date a woman outside of his race. Using the term “snowbunny.”
Tol Ass Mo’s reference to trauma stemmed from the sexual assault allegations made against him by actress and model Lerato Moloi. In 2018, Lerato accused the comedian of raping her during their work on a television production in Paarl, Western Cape. She later disclosed in 2020 that the incident had occurred in 2014.
In a significant turn of events, Tol Ass Mo was acquitted of sexual assault in August 2022. The court described Lerato Moloi as “a dishonest, egotistical, and belligerent liar.” Leading Tol Ass Mo to consider legal action against her for slander and defamation.
During a conversation with MacG and Sol Phenduka on the “Podcast and Chill” show in December of the previous year. Tol Ass Mo revealed that during the court proceedings, Lerato claimed the rape took place on the evening of March 18th. However, he presented evidence, including a picture on his Instagram. Showing that he had been on a flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg that very morning.
