Bonang’s Silence Over AKA’s Passing Too Loud For Social Media? The television personality’s nonchalance seems to have made some social media users upset, with assumptions that she might not in any way want to be associated with her late ex.
Whilst there are many ways to look at it, including the possibility that Bonang simply doesn’t want to centre herself around the tragic passing of AKA, critics feel otherwise and are expressing it. There has been lots of outpouring love from notable industry colleagues like Thando Thabethe, Minnie Dlamini, Pearl Thusi, Faith Nketsi, Cassper Nyovest, including one of AKA’s exes DJ Zinhle and so many more. The outrage from some of the critics was amplified following Bonang’s Instagram post on Valentine’s Day—four days after AKA’s passing. The popular media personality shared two snaps rocking lingerie, “the month of love,” the caption read.
In the comments section, critics questioned why Bonang hasn’t said something publicly in AKA’s honour. Others found her move to only like a tribute post to Tibz—AKA’s friend who also lost his life in the same tragedy, a bit questionable.
Bonang Matheba and AKA dated from for a few years before their publicized breakup which had many accusations. Bonang’s stans have also come to her defense arguing that Bonang doesn’t have to play nice to someone who was not kind to her after their breakup. Others expressed how the critics only want Bonang’s reaction so they can tear it apart.
