Former Miss South Africa 2010 and new National Director of Miss Supranational South Africa, Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala, has officially taken on another prestigious role in the world of beauty pageants. The beloved beauty queen has been announced as the new National Director for Miss Universe South Africa, marking an exciting new era for the country’s representation on the global Miss Universe stage.
The announcement was made through African Beauty International, the organisation now holding the Miss Universe South Africa license. In a statement, the pageant body expressed its excitement about the direction Bokang will bring to the brand.
“African Beauty International, the official license holder of Miss Universe South Africa, affiliated with @missuniverse proudly announces the appointment of Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala as the new National Director for Miss Universe in South Africa.

Bokang, who also serves as the President of African Beauty International, is no stranger to the Miss Universe stage herself. Having represented South Africa at the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, she brings firsthand experience, passion, and purpose to her new role.
In a heartfelt video shared online, Bokang expressed her pride and excitement about this new chapter for South Africa in the Miss Universe franchise.
“I would like to announce that we have been appointed as the national directors of Miss Universe South Africa. Therefore South Africa, we will be represented beautifully so at this year’s Miss Universe in Thailand. Please continue to take this journey with us as we continue to empower young women and also continue to redefine beauty.”
