Former Miss South Africa 2010, Bokang Montjane, has just been appointed as the new National Director of Miss Supranational South Africa — and the news has fans across the country buzzing with excitement. She announced the major milestone on Instagram, sharing her joy and vision for the future of the pageant.
“I am deeply honoured and incredibly excited to officially announce my appointment as the new National Director of Miss Supranational South Africa,” she said in a heartfelt post. “As Miss South Africa 2010, I’ve spent over a decade advocating for the empowerment of women, especially young women from disadvantaged and rural communities. My life’s work has been rooted in creating platforms that inspire, uplift, and unlock the full potential of the South African girl child.”
Bokang believes that beauty pageants, when driven by purpose, can be more than just glamorous events — they can change lives. “I believe that pageantry, when rooted in purpose, can be a powerful tool for transformation,” she added.
The appointment marks a meaningful full-circle moment for Bokang, who has long been involved in empowering women through various initiatives. She shared her admiration for the Miss Supranational brand, calling it a platform that champions women of beauty, purpose, and strength.
“Joining the Miss Supranational family is a full-circle moment for me. The Miss Supranational organisation has built a strong and inspiring track record in South Africa, producing women who represent not just beauty and grace, but purpose, strength, and vision,” she said. “I am thrilled to be part of a global brand that celebrates these values and to have the opportunity to continue building its legacy in our country.”
Bokang also revealed her goals as director: “My vision as National Director is to grow the Miss Supranational South Africa platform into one that not only shines on the international stage but also makes a tangible difference here at home.”
She emphasised her mission to find women who are passionate about making an impact. “Together with our team, I aim to identify and support women who are passionate about making a difference – women who are ready to lead, to uplift others, and to proudly represent the rich diversity of our nation.”
She also shared an exciting reminder: “Stay tuned to find out who will be crowned the new Miss Supranational South Africa 2025 and represent our beautiful country this June in Malopolska, Poland!”
