It’s been a few weeks since Somizi had to take a backseat on some of his gigs following his major divorce and abuse scandal. It seems like his fans are already feeling the void without the charismatic entertainer and calling for his return. On the other hand, some have highlighted the selectivity of cancel culture following the announcement of Somizi’s upcoming interview on the Braai Show.
Cassper was announced as the new host of the Braai show after taking over from hip hop rival AKA. The news seemed to have struck a nerve with both the Bhovamania rapper and his legion of fans however, SABC1 is going ahead with the premier anyway. More issue have been brought up about the show after the list of upcoming guests were revealed on twitter.
Among the star studded guest appearances that are scheduled to appear on the show, Somizi’s name was also included. Social media users have since called out the media for forgetting about the allegations made against the star and have now seemed to have forgiven him. Somizi stans have however defended the veteran star claiming that nobody deserves to have their livelihood stripped away from them.
When the viral audio of Mohale detailing the times that he has allegedly been abused by his estranged husband, the whole of South Africa stood in support of Mohale and demanded that Somizi be cancelled. He was then given time away from his Metro FM and Idols gig to sort out his personal issue.
SA Idols then came back with a verdict of removing the reality star from the judging panel for good and the viewers have started missing him.
