Gone are the days when blacks were impressed by a white person speaking a South African language that’s not Afrikaans or English. A local DJ calling herself Kasi Mlungu seems to have upset black twitter for allegedly claiming to be a “black mlungu”. Black twitter not pleased with this self proclaimed Kasi Mlungu.
Kasi Mlungu real name Anita Ronge says he didn’t grow up in Kasi but now hangs out there. Ronge says she identifies more with black women because they own who they are. “If you can adopt Western culture, why can’t I adopt African culture?,” she says.
