Over the weekend Black Coffee and AKA were at each other’s throats on Twitter about the current SA Hip Hop state.
Black’s argument was that South African rappers should adopt the American Hip Hop way of doing things and handle beef in song’s and not on Twitter like Drake did with Meek.
AKA quickly took the responsibility of standing up for his genre and basically said that Black knows nothing about SA Hip Hop and that he’d appreciate it if stopped weighing down on it. (Read that story HERE.)
It seems something good has come from their Twar as Black Coffee has decided to launch an annual event that will support and uplift upcoming emcee’s in South Africa.
