Most people assume that successful people probably took the easy way up the success ladder, but when you really get to sit down with them, they’ll open up about how difficult the journey is.

Black Coffee is one of those characters you ask; ‘how did he do it so quickly?’

Not so long ago Black shared that growing up a large number of his family members had no faith in him making it in life. The DJ once again took to Instagram to share some of the struggles he faced growing up in an environment where no one supports your dreams.

“I grew up not a very happy child…..quite withdrawn and literally living in my own dream world,” he wrote.

He reveals that the only thing that helped him escape from it all was music.

“Psychologically I think this is why music became a big part of my life to escape my own demons but most importantly to heal other people and help them let go,” he says.

Music Was The Great Escape…
