‘There Were Other Big Songs After Wololo,’ Somizi To Babes Wodumo

Babes Wodumo made it known via social media how angry she was with the SAMAs for not giving her any Award this past weekend. The singer went as far as suggesting the Awards are being ‘bought’ but Somizi thinks not. ‘There were other big songs after Wololo,’ Somizi To Babes Wodumo.

Somizi along with his co-hosts of the Fresh Breakfast on Metro FM discussed Babes rant and they all seemed to agree that it’s not as the Wololo singer thinks.

“Wololo was played a lot but it wasn’t the only song that was played on radio. You have to remember timing. Babes became big at the very beginning of the year so other things happened after,” Somizi said.

DJ Fresh added that he understands Babes frustrations however saying it takes time to get recognition. But he agreed with Somizi adding, “Ngud was played everywhere. We played it to death at 5FM.”
