Beyonce has set the record straight about formation video. The diva covers Elle Magazine’s April issue across the world and is out to clarify a few things. A few weeks ago Beyonce’s Formation video caused a stir in America when she was accused of being against the Police.
In an exclusive interview, Beyonce tells the magazine she is not against the police saying anyone who perceives her message as anti-police is completely mistaken. “I mean, I’m an artist and I think the most powerful art is usually misunderstood.”
However Queen Bey made it clear she is 100% against police brutality. “I have so much admiration and respect for officers and the families of officers who sacrifice themselves to keep us safe. But let’s be clear: I am against police brutality and injustice. Those are two separate things,” she said.
“If celebrating my roots and culture during Black History Month made anyone uncomfortable, those feelings were there long before a video and long before me.”
