BET Confirms Nasty C’s ‘BET Win’ Was Due To A Glitch! The young rapper did not win a BET Award or at least not yet. The clarification by BET comes after Nasty C was announced on the website as the “winner” in the Best International Act: Africa category.
“An unforeseen technical issue on BET.com’s BET AWARDS show page resulted in several categories revealing randomly selected nominees as winners. We apologize for the confusion to all of the artists affected and to our fans,” BET said in a statement.
Mabala Noise told Tshisa LIVE that they had accepted that Nasty C had not won the Award. “Nasty C is a bright boy and is not focused on the announcement or anything else. BET have explained themselves and we have to accept it and see what happens,” Mabala spokesperson Mhlo Gumede said.
The real winner will be announced this BET Awards weekend. Nasty C faces off fellow South Africans Babes Wodumo and AKA in the Best International Act: Africa category along with Nigeria’s Davido‚ Wizkid and Ghanaian rapper Stonebwoy.
