Babes Wodumo is still grieving the loss of her husband, Mampintsha, nearly two years after his passing. In December 2022, her world was turned upside down when the renowned musician suffered a minor stroke and tragically passed away. Since then, the Gqom queen has been open about her heartbreak, frequently sharing her emotions with fans.

In a recent Instagram post, Babes paid a touching tribute to her late husband. “I still choose you,” she wrote, accompanying a photo of the couple sharing a special moment. The post, which captured their deep bond, resonated with many of her followers, who shared their condolences and offered words of comfort.

One fan wrote: “We love you, Babes. May the Lord be with you always.” Another commented, “Feel free to inbox me if your heart is aching. You are never alone, nawe uyayazi (you also know), deep down inside your soul mntase. Let it all out. God hears everything, my dear, and I know your heart will eventually heal.”

As reported by IOL, Babes also honoured Mampintsha on Christmas Eve 2024, marking two years since his passing. “Today marks my husband’s passing on 24 December. So this means that today, it would be two years. Keep on resting in peace, Mashimane. Love, Babes,” she wrote.

The music community has continued to feel the loss of Mampintsha, and Babes’ fans shared that the industry has not been the same since his death. Despite the pain, Babes has shown resilience and continues to keep Mampintsha’s memory alive through her music and heartfelt tributes.
