Ayanda Thebethe And Fikile Mbalula Throw Jabs At Each Other Amid The National Shutdown. Ayanda Thabethe has been one of the few prominent celebrities to call out high ranking top ANC member, Mbalula for not honouring their responsibilities.
As protests sweep across the country inspiring a national reckoning with incompetence, corruption, crime, unemployment and many more things affecting South Africa, many citizens and residents of the country have taken to their social media to express their satisfaction at the turnout numbers and the diversification of the group participants. Others had expressed how worrisome they were about the breaking of windows, burning of property, and stealing of goods being a possibility.
Fikile Mbalula took to his Twitter to make a commentary about the protests planned by the EFF suggesting that it hasn’t been a successful one. Mbalula tweeted: “Shutdown Biggest flop.” His tweet was met with many tweeps clapping back at him, with one of them being Ayanda Thabethe, the media personality hit back by mentioning Fikile’s governing party’s shortcomings.
The media personality listed a few areas Mbalula and his colleagues were incapable of executing exceptionally well, tweeting “Biggest flop is a party having to feel like they have to resort to this in order to get basic service delivery for the people. Biggest flop is having enough resources to fight a shutdown but not enough resources to do the same to make this country safe.”
Fikile then hit back with a rather satirical humorous comment, on whether she had returned valuable assets to authorities, tweeting “Sele ubuyiswelwe lamcimbi” [Have you returned the assets]?
Mbalula’s hit back comment comes after City Press broke the news on Sunday morning, that Ayanda’s baby daddy, Peter Matsimbe had allegedly failed to return 10 luxury cars that were under his care.
Thabethe then went on to further tweet that Mbalula had chosen to reply to her because she was a soft target. He didn’t respond directly to EFF member, Mbuyiseni Ndlovu because he was afraid of him when it comes to political discourse.
“Lol! When he finds someone he’s afraid of!! But you found the need to personally attack me when speaking on a political issue! That makes you a coward,” Ayanda tweeted.
