Ayanda Thabethe Responds To Being Told To Lay Low Following Her Baby Daddy’s Fraud Accusations. The television presenter’s recent tweets directed to a politician, Fikile Mbalula has opened a can of worms. Tweeps have advised her to avoid attracting attention.
On Sunday, 19 March, City Press reported that Ayanda’s baby daddy, Peter Matsimbe is allegedly involved in a car theft scandal. Matsimbe reportedly had luxurious cars that he acquired fraudulently, namely, Mclaren MP4 coupé, Audi Q3, Toyota Hilux, Toyota Land Cruiser, Lexus SUV, Lexus LX and more. It is alleged that under his company named, ‘Matsimbe and Co’, Peter allegedly falsified documents to deceive financial institutions in providing financial assistance so he could purchase the aforementioned vehicles.
Since the story broke out Ayanda has also been accused for abetting Peter and being complicit in his alleged criminal activities.
Amid the National Shutdown on Monday, that saw many tweeps air out their grievances, sharing their opinions and lambasting some government officials, Ayanda was among the tweeps doing so. She had called out Fikile for his governing party’s ineptitude in honouring their responsibilities.
However, Ayanda’s civil liberty was not acknowledged because of her baby daddy’s alleged transgressions. She responded to a tweep, who had said they thought she wasn’t going to draw attention to herself since Peter was under authorities’ radar, tweeting “Not that kind of girlie.”
One tweep went on to give her a precautionary warning, tweeting that she was going to be under the wrath of tweeps, as her tweets were going to draw unnecessary attention. A defiant and resolute Thabethe tweeted that she was not a newbie when it comes to “smoke”. Another tweep then went on to suggest that the reason there was a shutdown is because of people like her, she said regardless of his opinion she was still entitled to her opinion.
