The plot thickens between bitter exes Atandwa Kani and Thembisa Mdoda. After his public letter on Thursday which addressed everything that went down in what we thought was a failed ‘marriage’. Atandwa Kani says Thembisa was never a ‘Kani’.
Atandwa says he wanted to end speculation that he was ever married to Thembisa. The actor admits the lobola process had been started but was stopped after infidelity had been revealed.
“There was no marriage, customary or modern. The lobola process had been started and stopped after infidelity had been revealed. I eventually got my money back,” Atandwa told a local publication.
Atandwa then accused Mdoda of going around telling people they were married. “She was going around calling herself Thembisa Kani. So I had to get my lawyer to tell her to stop it and go back to her surname.”
The actor says he’s speaking up against ‘a twist of the story’ by Mdoda.
