Reality TV star Annie Mthembu is making a highly anticipated comeback to Mzansi screens in the second season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa, and fans are eager to see what she brings. The hit Showmax reality series returns, this time taking the ladies from Africa’s scenic landscapes to the vibrant sights, sounds, and energy of Brazil. Viewers can expect all the glamour, laughter, and, naturally, plenty of drama.
The show premieres on Showmax on 28 November 2025, with a broadcast on Mzansi Magic on 29 November 2025.
Annie returns after leaving The Real Housewives of Durban following three seasons. Speaking to TRUELOVE about her decision to come back, Annie says, “Honestly, I just couldn’t resist bringing a little Annie mischief to the mix. When I was asked to join the cast of African Housewives, I was so excited! It’s the crossover we didn’t know we needed!”
She adds, “It’s all about fun, meeting new people, laughter… and a touch (okay, maybe a full slap) of drama … This season, viewers can expect me to be authentically me; bold, unapologetic, and yes… a little cheeky (both cheeks). Trust me, it’s going to be unforgettable! Can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
Fans will remember Annie’s last season ended with tension and drama. Season three concluded with a fiery argument between Nonku and former castmate Slee Ndlovu that almost turned physical. Annie left the show to protect her mental health. That season also featured a dramatic fallout between her and Jojo Robinson, which seemed to mark the end of their friendship.
Now, the two reality stars will reunite. Annie shares, “Jo and I have always had love for each other. You will see our reunion play out on screen. Definitely something to look forward to.”
With Annie back in the spotlight alongside Jojo Robinson, The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa Season 2 promises fans a season full of unforgettable moments, laughter, and drama.
