Rapper Anatii, known for his unique blend of African sounds and global appeal, has secured a major distribution deal with the international record label Gamma. The label, which represents stars like Usher, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross, is now adding Anatii to its roster as part of its expansion into Africa.
The musician, whose real name is Anathi Mnyango, made his return to the music scene in 2022, quickly establishing himself as a force in the industry. According to Daily Sun, Anatii shared his excitement about the new chapter in his career.
“Writing this song brought perspective on the challenges and growth I’ve experienced. With Gamma, I have the ideal platform to share my sound worldwide and elevate the Bushman aesthetic to new heights,” he said.
The deal is also a significant move for Gamma, which aims to strengthen its presence on the African continent. Sipho Dlamini, the former Universal Music South Africa boss who is now President/MD of Africa & Middle East at Gamma, praised Anatii’s talent.
“Anatii is a once-in-a-generation talent whose work transcends borders and genres. His ability to craft deeply resonant music that speaks to both the heart of Africa and the global stage makes him a perfect fit for Gamma’s vision. Gamma is about pushing culture forward and breaking barriers, and Anatii embodies exactly that spirit,” Dlamini said.
Anatii is set to release his first single under Gamma, titled Sey’hlangene, in December. The track promises to carry forward the vocal nuances from his previous hits, like Iyeza, while elevating his beats to a new level.
