Am I a jealous friend?

Dear YV, Me and my friend have been friends since childhood. The guy that she used to date spoiled her rotten, he used to take her out to cool places almost every weekend. I mean she got anything that she wanted. My boyfriend is not so bad, well he takes me out once in while, however not so pleased about it for I’m a girl who wants to be spoiled, that can’t b so wrong. I mean every woman deserves to be spoilt all the time, right?. I used to envy my friend and I liked how she was been treated and I so wish that I was the one getting all of that. Now my friends ex is busy texting me asking to hook up and stuff, that man is a charmer. what do i do? Can the old rule of not dating your friends ex’s be broken?
