‘I Always Thought I Was The Ugly Duckling,’ Lerato Kganyago! The media personality who has a pageant background recently revealed she never used to feel beautiful and was a tomboy who felt she was a boy at heart.

“Throughout high school I always thought I was the ugly duckling. I never thought I was pretty, I was tomboyish and I was quite and reserved. I was a boy at heart,” Lerato revealed on Real Talk with Anele.

Lerato credits her mom who entered her into beauty pageants. “She entered me in pageants so I could build my confidence and also become more of a lady,” she said.

She went on to become Miss Jam Alley and Miss Soweto and is considered one of the most beautiful personalities in the country currently.
