From misses to hits of paintings of notable television personalities, musicians, politicians and many more, the likes of Riky Rick, Akhumzi Jezile, Mama Winnie Madikizela Mandela, Mary Twala, Chadwick Bozeman, Queen Elizabeth and many others have been not been safe from his painting brush. With some of the aforementioned stars’ painting not resembling them at all.
His status got elevated when he also did a a few paintings of international celebrities, of rapper Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé.
A week after the late Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ passing, the controversial painter had a few paintings of him revealed on Saturday, 18 February 2023, the day of his burial. Two paintings were done by him and the other as a collaborative painting done by a painter from Botswana, named Thatayaone. “Rip Kiernan Forbes AKA, you shared your birthday with my daughter,” he captioned the paintings on his Twitter account.
And of course people had to react to the paintings. One tweep said that his painting did not in any way resemble AKA. With another social media user saying that drawing isn’t his strongest suit even though he tends to force it.
