Social media lost it after new broke that Pretoria Girls High School told black students to straighten their hair and stop wearing afro hair. Many celebs came out in support of the students who were protesting at the school Monday morning. Rapper AKA took to twitter to share his thoughts. AKA weighs in on Pretoria Girls High Banning Afro hair.
The rapper posed a question ask9ing how African girls are not allowed to wear African hair at a school in a African country. “I don’t understand. How can someone’s natural hair be an issue? …. What can girls possibly do to change how their hair grows. Ridiculous,” he tweeted.
AKA says like the white, Indian, and coloured girls at that school, black girls should wear their hair naturally. After reports that the school security were threatening to arrest the protesting students, AKA had this to say.
“Man, if I was a parent and saw these videos of “security” threatening to arrest my daughter I’d be at that school fucking shit up right now.”
