AKA On How Nadia Nakai Rebuilt Him! Rapper AKA has a new album coming out and he’s been on a promotional tour on different platforms talking about the album and his life. The rapper has not been holding back on anything regarding his personal life and music including the recent tragedy when he lost his fiance Anele Tembe and him finding love again.
AKA had paid her bride price and also they had announced their engagement in February, before the tragedy happened in April 2021 when Anele fell from 10th floor of an upmarket hotel in Cape Town and died. In an interview with the Sobering podcast, AKA addressed not having control over public opinion, the viral photo of himself breaking down a door to get into a room his fiance was in saying, “All you guys are seeing is a broken door and it doesn’t look good on me at all. I will take that and it’s not my finest moment.”
“I understand because the aftermath of it is a tragedy. There’s also camps, there’s media, there’s her side, there is family, there is police. I think when she took her own life, she kind of took a part of me as well. It’s a tragedy that I have to live with for the rest of my life. I’m a fighter and I believe in God and He has got me. I wanted to make this woman my life and now I have to live with it,” he added.
Now the rapper has found love again with fellow rapper, Nadia Nakai. The couple has been together for a while now and he seems to be grateful for the role Nadia has played in his healing. “But God is graceful because now I have an amazing woman in my life who picked me up and rebuild me,” he said on the podcast. This is not the first time AKA has alluded to Nadia saving her. On Nadia’s birthday a couple of months ago, AKA wished her a happy birthday saying, “you saved my life.”
Nadia is not only adores by her man but his mother Lynn Forbes too. The proud mm recently shared a sweet photo of Nadia and her other daughter in law with the caption, “Thank you God for Your blessings in my life.”
