Veteran actress Lillian Dube’s cancer battle continues after undergoing a single mastectomy last year. Lillian confirmed that her battle with cancer is far from over as her doctors explained to her that her cancer mutates.

“That cancer of mine: remember I had 9 years ago? Then it came back last year. The first time I had a lumpectomy where they removed the lump from my right breast. The second time they had to cut the breast out which is a mastectomy”, Lillian told a local publication.

The actress says  they found out that her cancer mutates and she needs to be on treatment which is expensive and she can’t get it in public hospitals. “I asked my oncologist and it’s bound to cost R500 000. I have to take tablets for five years and its also expensive.”

Lillian, who has also worked as an ambassador for the Cancer Association remains positive saying her priority here is to send a message of early detection as it saves lives.

We wish Ma Lillian a speedy recovery.
