‘Acting Saved My Life,’ Simphiwe Ngema On Healing After Loss! Dumi Masilela tragically died a year ago this week. His widow, actress Simz Ngema recently shared how she felt mourning her husband with the world watching in a recent interview on Afternoon Express.

Simz shared how she was going through th loss with everyone who was following her story.

“I have lived this journey with everybody watching. I felt like I was literally stripped naked, emotionally, in front of the whole country. For me, I just had to live my truth and that is how I am healing,” she said.

She added that getting back to acting saved her when she couldn’t find a reason to live anymore.

“Acting saved my life. I was at a point where I felt like, ‘what do I live for?’ It reminded me of what I am passionate about. It reminded me that the one thing I am passionate about gave me a reason to live… my passion saved my life.”
