Connie Ferguson Reveals The Main Reason Behind Her Fitness Journey. The seasoned actress and film producer is known for many things in the entertainment industry but also putting in serious work in the gym. She recently took to her socials to reveal reasons behind her workout routines.
Connie has been leaning into her fitness routine for years now, her impressive physique has also been complimented by many of her fans. While staying in shape is not an easy task and requires a a lot of physical and mental fortitude, Connie, isn’t deterred in making sure that she does it for her benefit. The actress and producer recently took to social media sharing why she has remained consistent with her fitness journey for as long as she has. Connie revealed that more than the physical benefits she does it for her mental health.
“I live by a holistic approach to wellness. The physical benefits of exercise are great, but my main reason for being so committed is the effect it has on my mental health. As someone who suffers from depression, I was at my lowest when I received encouragement from an amazing soul, who changed how I perceived my illness. She encouraged me to take on fitness to help lift my mood and keep me balanced, in mind body, and spirit. It was this advice that saved me and changed my life forever,” Ferguson wrote captioning her Instagram video.
Back in 2020, Connie had an injury which preventer from being active in the gym. She shared the fitness hiccups saying, “ I have an ankle op and arthritis in the lower back, hip, knees and the operated ankle. For a very long time I hated any type of exercise that involved jumping because somehow I always hurt myself! Flash forward to today! I was so chuffed with myself for making it through @sinalonokele563 bag work section witch included quite a few jumps! Awesome, awesome class.
