TikToker Responds After Facing Backlash For Her Views On Men Who Use Smart Shopper Cards. One thing about social media, there’s going to be a discourse every single day about standards and how men and women are to behave in relationships.
This time provided by a Tik Toker lady who shared how embarrassed she’d feel if her man were to use a smart shopper card whilst shopping together. “Am I the only one who finds it so embarrassing when a guy uses a smart shopper card?,” she said laughing before adding, “It’s like, ‘why?’. Guys I can’t. Imagine I’m at Pick n Pay with my boyfriend and before he pays he takes out his smart shopper… ai ngeke! That’s so embarrassing,” she said.
After the video made its way to twitter, Pick n Pay responded tweeting, “Imagine your boyfriend not being Smart, not having a Smart Shopper card & paying full price. How #embarrassing! If you’re a smart boyfriend, comment below and you could win R500 in Smart Shopper points.“
Even celebs like Cassper and Lady Du chimed it tweeting, “That’s why it’s called a SMART shopper card”, “It’s not for dodos“, respectively.
The TikToker made another video after going viral showing how unbothered she feels about the backlash and how she stands by what she said. She responded to a comment which suggested that her views put pressure on men.
“First of all, this is a lie. I’ve never put pressure on any man. Men put pressure on themselves because they don’t want to stay away from girls like me. If you’re a man, do yourself a favor. Stay away from girls like me, [who don’t like men who uses smart shopper and use your smart shopper in peace],” she said.
She then addressed the woman who had left the comment saying since she seemed understanding of men who uses smart shopper cards, men who do the same must choose women like her so they can both use their smart shopper cards together, in peace. “The thing is now, no matter how defending you’re of these n*ggas, they will never choose you. The minute they can choose someone like me… they going to go for someone like me,” she concluded.
