Condolences Pour In For Media Personality Pearl Shongwe. Media personality Pearl Shongwe, popularly known for bringing the News on different SABC platforms sadly passed away on Tuesday according to reports. She was 35.
Pearl reportedly passed away in her sleep at her home in Johannesburg. Her body was found by neighbors on Tuesday. The cause of her death has not been confirmed.
It is with great sadness that the Shongwe family announces the untimely passing of our beloved daughter Ntombifuthi Pearl Shongwe. Our daughter was a celebrated radio broadcaster and TV presenter. Her presence will forever live on in our hearts,” Pearl’s family confimed in a statement to News24.
Metro FM Business Manager Ms. Kina Nhlengethwa released a statement saying, โWords cannot explain how great a loss it is for Metro FM, of this beautiful, vibrant and intelligent woman. It was a privilege to work with Pearl, for those that had the opportunity to meet her. She was a rising star, and still had a lot to offer in the industry. We wish to send our condolences to the family, her colleagues, our listeners and everyone who was close to her. She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.โ
