Khaya Mthethwa on his 4th studio album – Art & Worship. Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Khaya Mthethwa announce the release of his 4th studio album titled ‘Art & Worship’. The award-winning musician made his first major public appearance and won the hearts of many South Africans on the 8th season of Idols South Africa as the first black person to walk away as the competition winner. He is also a well-renowned radio personality and a TV presenter.

The 13-track album is set to drop on Friday the 14th of October just in time for festive celebrations, Art & Worship will be available on all digital streaming platforms.

‘You Have A Plan’ is the first track and intro of the project, it is an upbeat praise feel-good song that speaks on the plan that God has for his life.

  ‘End of Story’ is the first and lead single off the 13-track album but number two on the album. On End of Story Khaya declares the greatness of God, all that He has done for him, and all that He has in store for him.

  ‘It Doesn’t Matter’is number three on the album, on this song Khaya speaks on the hardships, distractions, and pain of the world and how none of it matters if he knows who is in control. “Storms of life won’t win this fight, that’s because I know you’re in control”

  ‘Bhekani Uthando’ is a traditional gospel song that caters more to the local market, Bhekani Uthando speaks on God’s faithful and unconditional love. “Uthando lukaBaba, lunje ngolwandle bo”

  ‘I Give You Me’ is the third single off the album and number 5 on the tracklist. The title is self-explanatory, this is a song of surrender. This is a song that a lot of Christian worshipers will relate to, it is personal, and a great sing-along feel good song. “This worship that I bring to is you is me”

  ‘Ngambulele’ is the 6th track, this is a song of the strength of his faith in God. “Sengifun’ukukholwa, konke okwenzile ngami”

  ‘Right Now’ is the 7th track, a relatable Praise song to many Christians, it is a song of healing, breakthrough, and hope. This is one song that will cross borders with the message that it delivers. “Right now, break the chains, open the prison gates, right now heal my soul “

  ‘You Are Here’is number eight on the album, it is a worship song focusing on God’s presence in his life, heart, and soul through the Holy Spirit. You are Here, redeemer of my soul, you have made me whole

  ‘Psalm 24’ is number nine on the project, the title is self-explanatory. The book of Psalms in the Christian bible speaks about God’s glory, and his promises and is a poetic story retelling the entire bible story. “Who is this King of glory, the LORD strong and mighty”

  ‘Outpouring’is track number 10 on the album but the second single that Khaya releases off the project. Outpouring is a song of salvation, Khaya calls out to the Lord and asks for his presence, protection, and peace to get through life. “An outpouring is what I need in my life to survive in this life”

‘Place Of Promise’ is track number eleven another worship song that allows the listeners to open their hearts.

  ‘Avulekile’ directly translates to they are open, this is the second last song of the project and speaks on the open heavens, this song is a traditional worship song. “Avulekile amazulu, phezukwami Phezukwami”

  ‘Amen’ is the outro, closing off the body of work.
