Kagiso Modupe Reveals The Influencer Gig That Made Him A Millionaire. The actor, writer and director has opened up on how using social media to advertise circumcision made him a million Rand before acting did.
Whilst on King David Studio podcast with David Mashabela, the actor opened up about his life from how he grew up to how he became a millionaire. He is well known mostly for his TV role in Scandal! where he portrayed the character of Mangaliso Nyathi. He has gone on to be a successful scriptwriter for his boxing office hit Losing Lerato which he also starred in along with his daughter. and now he is theKagiso is currently a director on House of Zwide.
The triple threat got candid on how he survived his tertiary years admitting he used to sell contraceptive just to make ends meet. He finally got his breakthrough on Scandal!. He later went through what he calls a “planned fall”. It’s during that time he says he realized the importance of circumcision. He realized that he had been married for like 12 years and not circumcised and weighed the benefits of circumcision which were that it prevents cervical cancer from women.
“I hustle through everything, it’s funny used my private part to become a millionaire,” Kagiso revealed.
He saw this as an opportunity to teach all men about circumcision and he approached the organization Brothers For Life and Right To Care and proposed that he will do it publicly. This is how the actor got first million in a day. ”… but I’m gonna go and encourage men to come do it with me, guess what happened l put it out there on social media, but l said l need R1 from every circumcision that l make, and across the country l got 1.1 million men, so that’s how l became a millionaire”, he said.
Kagiso also shared how he has been hustling through his flaws .He also revealed that they are working on broadcasting Losing Lerato 2 and on What About The Boys.
